At KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary, we believe that education gives us the tools and the responsibility to open doors for ourselves and others. About Our Executive Principal

Mr. Antonio McKay

My name is Antonio McKay, and I am honored to serve as the Principal in Residence for our Henry Avenue Campus, supporting both KIPP Memphis Collegiate Elementary and KIPP Memphis Collegiate Middle School.

As a native of North Memphis and proud graduate of Northside High School, serving this community is deeply personal. The neighborhood that helped shape me has entrusted me with the privilege of helping shape its future. I am committed to ensuring every scholar who walks through our doors is equipped with the knowledge, character, and confidence to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact in the world.

For more than a decade, I have served students and families across Memphis in a variety of leadership and instructional roles, including Special Education Teacher, Math Teacher, Dean of Scholars, Dean of Academics, Assistant Principal, and Vice Principal. These experiences have reinforced my belief that every child can achieve at high levels when supported by excellent instruction, meaningful relationships, and a school culture grounded in high expectations.

My goal is to foster an environment where every KIPPster thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. I am passionate about advancing excellence in teaching and learning while building a culture in which scholars are challenged, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I also believe strong partnerships with families are essential to student success, and I look forward to working together to ensure every child succeeds.
