Beginning with Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Students
KIPP Cordova Collegiate Elementary is a new school where rigorous academics and daily arts instruction come together to help young learners discover their voice, build confidence, and shine on stage and in life. We open in August 2027 with grades K–2 and will grow to serve K–5, so founding families can grow with the school through their child's entire elementary journey.

About Our Founding Principal
Shayla J. Morgan
My name is Shayla Morgan, and I am honored to serve as the Founding Principal of KIPP Cordova Collegiate Elementary. I am excited to build a school community where every child is known, challenged, supported, and encouraged to discover their voice.
For more than two decades, I have served students, families, and educators in Memphis, Atlanta, and Abu Dhabi. Throughout my career, I have helped lead schools and academic programs to strong outcomes, including a Tennessee State Letter Grade “A,” TN Reward School recognition, and TVAAS Level 5 performance. These experiences have strengthened my belief that every child can achieve at high levels when excellent instruction, high expectations, and genuine care come together.
At KCCE, we are building a school where rigorous academics and the performing arts work hand in hand. Through experiences like voice and dance, students will have opportunities to express themselves, build confidence, and find joy in learning while developing a strong academic foundation.
My vision is for KCCE to be a place where students thrive, families feel connected, and every child knows their voice matters. I look forward to partnering with our founding families, staff, and the Cordova community as we build something special together.
