KIPP Cordova Collegiate Elementary is a new school where rigorous academics and daily arts instruction come together to help young learners discover their voice, build confidence, and shine on stage and in life. We open in August 2027 with grades K–2 and will grow to serve K–5, so founding families can grow with the school through their child's entire elementary journey.

About Our Founding Principal
Shayla J. Morgan
Shayla Morgan brings more than two decades of transformative educational leadership to KIPP Cordova Collegiate Elementary. Most recently, she served as Principal of Freedom Preparatory Academy in Millbranch, where she led the school to a Tennessee State Letter Grade "A" in 2025, three consecutive years as a TN Reward School, and TVAAS Level 5 performance — all through a data-driven, coaching-focused approach to instructional leadership. Before stepping into the principal role, she served as the school's Founding Dean of Academics, launching its academic program from the ground up, and later as Network Literacy Specialist, driving measurable gains in literacy outcomes across grade levels. Her career spans classrooms and campuses from Memphis to Atlanta to Abu Dhabi, giving her a global perspective on what it takes to build a school culture rooted in high standards, strong data practices, and genuine care for every student. As Founding Principal of KCCE, Shayla is bringing that same proven track record to Cordova — building a school where every child discovers their voice, gains confidence, and finds joy in learning from day one.
